Andrew Akopov is a 2028 OF/RHP/1B with a 5-11 168 lb. frame from Marietta, GA who attends Mount Paran Christian. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, projectable frame with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.41 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, sound actions moving to the ball and fields it out front, longer arm action through the back, works on top and shows present carry and strength on throws to intended target. Attacked ball at first base, moves around on feet well and comes through the ball, strong arm. Also pitched, tall delivery and can continue to incorporate additional lower half into drive, shows looseness to arm action working to a three-quarters release point. Fastball topped out at 76 mph with flashes of running life, filled the zone well and induced weaker contact coming off. Can maintain arm speed on curveball more moving forward, sweeping life up to 62 mph. Right-handed hitter, moving parts to load but shows rhythm to hands, weight gathers on backside. Stays shorter to the ball with quickness and looseness in hands, best contact and strength when getting the barrel extended out front, line drive contact to pull side, tools to build upon.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
