Layne Okeefe is a 2027 OF/RHP, UT with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Covington, LA who attends Homeschool. Taller, physical frame with strength throughout. Ran a 7.53 in the sixty yard dash. Primary outfielder, quick first step with shorter strides to the ball, low slot release with throws upwards of 79 mph. Also worked out in the infield, shows the glove late and waits back on the ball, clean arm action with smooth actions overall. Secondary right handed pitcher, anchored back foot with quicker tempo and an abbreviated leg kick, short and quick arm stroke with a compact release, fastball has bore up to 75 mph, advanced feel to spin a tight breaking ball with 11-5 shape, willing and able to throw it in any count with consistent finish down in the zone. Right handed hitter, wide base with even feet, uphill path with limited separation, direct to the baseball with a hands driven inside out swing, developing feel to pull the baseball, comfortable working to the opposite field. Excellent student.
