Aidan McGovern is a 2025 LHP/1B, OF with a 5-9 175 lb. frame from Orland Park, IL who attends Mount Carmel. Primary left-handed pitcher with a medium frame and solid build. Full windup with a belt-high lift and short arm swing to a 3/4 slot delivery. Direct to the plate with fastball up to 67 mph (1598 RPM) and curveball at 55 mph (1616 RPM). Flashed a changed at 58 mph (1475 RPM) with control of the zone with all three. Controlled delivery that he repeats down the slope. Secondary first baseman with a two-hand funnel out front and throws across the diamond at 63 mph. Deliberate footwork around the bag with online throws. Left-handed hitter with a wide base and high back elbow slot. Stays inside the ball working through the middle and opposite field with no stride and weight shift to backside before launch. Feel for the barrel with contact out front. Excellent student with a 4.7 GPA.
