Dylan Varnell is a 2026 C/RHP/OF with a 5-10 152 lb. frame from Brandon, MS who attends Northwest Rankin. He ran a 7.55 second sixty. A primary catcher with a tall slender frame. Behind the plate he gains little ground into his throws with quicker actions and young arm strength as he recorded a 2.18 second pop time. In the outfield he waits back on the baseball fielding it out front with some feel for the fielding process, the arm action is short through the back with an uphill release as the arm showed better strength here topping out at 74 mph. On the mound he works from a lower three-quarters arm slot, the fastball sat 69-72 mph with some arm side run while the curveball was t 60 mph and will get better bite with more intent. Named to the 2021 13U Summer Main Event Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
