Jake Cruz is a 2024 RHP/1B, 2B, 3B with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Miami Palmetto Senior. Medium build with some projection for the future. Ran the sixty in 8.10 seconds. A primary RHP, he works out of the stretch position and throws out of a 3/4 arm slot. His fastball peaked at 77 MPH and he flashed spot up ability to the arm side part of the plate with the offering. Also has a curveball in the arsenal that had depth and occasional bite. In the infield his top throw across the infield was clocked at 72 MPH. With the bat he hits out of a square stance and uses a leg lift trigger to generate leverage. Flat path through the zone to go along with an all-fields approach. Good student in the classroom as well.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
