Justin Mackert is a 2008 OF/C with a 6', 205 lb frame from Westlake, OH who attends St Ignatius HS. Named to Top Prospect Team. Justin has a strong well-developed build and showed off very good all-around athletic ability. At the plate Justin has a strong balanced approach with good leverage in his swing. Justin stays short to the ball with good bat speed and showed good line-drive pop to all parts of the field. In the outfield Justin has good range and moves well to the ball. He throws from a short arm action that best projects in left field. Justin is a good student that has a lot of tools to work with. He should be a highest-level college prospect in the next year.
