Kaiden Lawrence is a 2027 SS/RHP/IF with a 5-10 145 lb. frame from Matthews, NC who attends Charlotte Christian. Medium projectable frame with current strength and a lot of time to add. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.48 seconds. Primary position IF, showing tremendous footwork, quick first step and nice lateral mobility. Unconventional arm action that works for him building throws up to 77 mph across the diamond. Good fundamentals with projectable skill set here. Really showed capability handling the slow roller nicely. Reps in OF too, working deliberately to the ball using two hands out front. Throws up to 81 mph here. Secondary RHP using shorter arm action here, staying closed down the slope. Simple repeatable mechanics and gets to consistent finish over from leg to good extension at release. FB up to 76 mph with solid control and obvious 2-seam/4-seam differentiating action. Two-seam showed really explosive running action at times. CB may have been best offering on the day with biting vertical shape in the low-60s. CH is still in development but flashed sustainable action and deception. RHH working from a wider stance getting into his base and high out front handset. Hanging leg lift as he moves in and work the middle of the field. Hand speed is present and has flow to his operation. Very hitterish actions that will really play with added physicality. Outstanding student with two-way potential on the diamond.
