Johnny Robinson is a 2024 RHP/MIF with a 5-7 125 lb. frame from Somers, NY who attends Somers. Young, athletic build with loads of physical projection remaining to be added throughout his frame. Primary right-handed hitter, full wind up with small side rocker step, using an above-the-belt leg-lift before driving down the mound. Foot strike landing tended to be inconsistent during outing, tended to land open as his front side would leak open early at times. High 3/4 arm slot from a full arm circle, some whip to his arm action. Fastball worked in the low-to-mid 70s, topping out at 74 mph with some arm-side run that got in on hitters. Developing feel for secondary offerings that will improve as he gets more experience on the mound. Secondary middle-infielder, fields out in front with a deep funnel. Plays up on his toes with solid glove actions. Shorter arm action as he worked uphill, 68 mph across the diamond with more arm strength continuing to be added. Right-handed hitter, narrow, slightly open stance with a high-hand set. Slight hover trigger with a rotational lower half. Line-drive, compact stroke with some pull side impact throughout his round. Strong feel for the barrel as he got it out to the point of contact consistently during his round of BP. Strong student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
