2021 Spring Midwest Workout Showcase (Saturday)
Dakota Stroud is a 2024 SS/UT with a 5-9 140 lb. frame from Manawa, WI who attends Little Wolf. Recorded a 7.58 second 60 yard dash time. Primary shortstop with a slow paced/passive approach and segmented actions. Choppy footwork, breaks down and fields it out front, showed good range and quick feet when moving up the middle. Right-handed hitter with an open stance and a high hand and back elbow set. Utilizes a simple stride forward, drops the hands to start the swing, low intent swinger at present. Shows a clean and flat bat path, gets the barrel turned over. Limited lower half stability at present, has some barrel skills, found hard line drive contact when pulling the ball. Some things to like moving forward as he cleans up some slight mechanical issues. Great student.
