Johnny Ta is a 2024 RHP/2B, 3B, SS, IF, OF with a 5-9 180 lb. frame from Las Vegas, NV who attends Cimarron-Memorial. Physical build. On the mound, its a stretch only operation with medium-short arm action and release from a three-quarters slot. Fastball shows slight arm side sink to it. Commands it well down in the zone. Curveball shows 12-6 like late downer depth enough to force weak contact. Straight Changeup was thrown with proper arm action. In the infield, he shows decent lateral mobility for the size with decent glove work and a medium arm stroke that produces average carry and zip. At the plate, he sets up with widespread base, high back elbow and wrapped bat. The swing tends to be a bit over rotational and the timing is develiping. When he got it on the barrel the impact was loud, juiced one deep in the opposite field gap. 7.39 60-yard. Outstanding student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
