2022 New York Indoor Showcase (Sunday)
Jayden Peres is a 2026 OF/RHP/1B with a 6-0 140 lb. frame from Union City, NJ. Peres has young athleticism in the build with plenty of time to add strength and fill out as a '26 grad. From his primary OF spot, he immediately showcased bounce in the footwork with an aggressive attacking mentality. Peres flashed a quick clean transfer and some good downhill momentum, touching 77 mph. Accuracy and arm mechanics should refine in the future. On the bump, the righty displayed plenty of balance and repeatability in the delivery with solid push off from the back side. He exclusively used his FB during the outing with offspeed expected to develop in the future. Offensively, Peres started from a wider slightly open stance with a toe tap trigger to generate pull side to middle of the field contact. Expect power potential to become more of a factor as barrel control gets more consistent. Posted an exit velo of 78 mph.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
