Jose Borrego is a 2026 RHP/C, MIF with a 5-5 120 lb. frame from Apple Valley, CA. He has a smaller frame and plenty of development left. Ran the sixty yard dash in 7.75 seconds. Primary pitcher that has polished mechanics. He uses a high leg lift and stays on balance throughout his delivery. He has a medium arm circle and fires from a 3/4 arm slot. He goes right after hitters, getting ahead with the fastball and putting them away with his curveball that has 11-5 break. He showed advanced command of his curveball. Secondary catcher that has good footwork. He stands up on his throws, so staying low will help him take some time off an already impressive pop time of 2.11 seconds. Also worked out on the infield, showing good footwork here as well. He has quick hands, throwing the ball quickly and accurately to first. At the plate he has a quick load and a long swing. He swings hard, generating nice bat speed to go along with an opposite field approach.

Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
