Langston Smith is a 2025 1B/LHP/OF with a 6-2 173 lb. frame from Kansas, MO. Extra long and lean high waisted build, really projects physically. 7.87 runner in the sixty. Outstanding defensive player at first base, has plus hands fielding the ball and especially on picking throws, advanced footwork and balance around the bag, big range receiving throws with his length and stretching ability and instincts, very rare skills for a young first baseman. Left handed hitter, hits from a slightly open stance with a loose extended swing, shifts his weight well into contact, has an accurate barrel with a gap to gap approach, projects very well as a hitter as he gains strength and physical maturity. Also pitched, slow paced hands over head delivery. Mid-60's fastball with occasional cutting action, can throw his sweeping curveball for strikes better than his fastball at this point. Very interesting young athlete. Good student. Named to the 13U/14U Sunshine Midwest Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
