Quinton Hill is a 2027 OF/RHP with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from El Sobrante, CA who attends Berkeley. Features a taller and lean build with present athleticism and plenty of projection. Ran a 7.33 60-yd dash. In the OF, he showed an aggressive and athletic approach where he worked low to the ground and fielded it clean and out front. Translated his quickness in his approach to momentum into a smaller crowhop. Used a shorter arm action that generated strong higher-arcing throws to the bag up to 80 mph. At the plate, he sits in a wider slightly open stance with some slight pre-engagement with his backside. Hands fire quick and throw the barrel on a steeper path through the zone. Head stays down through contact where he impacted a couple solid line drives to the middle of the field. On the mound, he has a lot of upside. He side steps into a slower chest high knee lift that he syncs up with an efficient drop in his backleg/hip that he rides down the mound. Used a shorter arm action that releases with adv. armspeed to a ¾ slot. Lands in-line and firms up at block. Ran his fastball up to 81 that he got downhill with and had some armside run. Mixed in a mid 60s changeup he killed spin on creating some good depth to it. Also flashed a mid 60s developing slurvy breaking ball. Named to the Top Prospects list.
