Ivan Carrera is a 2025 RHP/3B with a 5-7 160 lb. frame from Los Angeles, CA who attends Venice High School. Medium frame with space to make strength gains moving to maturity. 7.60 60-yd. Primary right-handed pitcher, deliberate tempo to delivery, side step moving in, full hand path, leg lift up to belt, tucked front side with a compact arm action through the back and a tight release point. Fastball topped out at 76 mph, struck out 4 during time on the mound and mixed a short curveball up to 69 mph. Also worked out in the infield, takes short steps moving towards the ball, fields it out front and hands play, moves well up the middle to work behind the ball, similar short/tight arm action and release point. During batting practice, starts with a narrow, even stance and worked a big leg kick early in the swing. Lots of big early movements created timing issues and led to him being late on pitches. When he found the timing, the hands dominate the swing flashing some ability to stay in the middle of the field. The more he incorporates the lower half into the swing will give more opportunities to find success as a hitter.
