Guillermo MacFarland is a 2027 MIF/3B, OF with a 5-9 185 lb. frame from Chula Vista, CA who attends St. Augustine. Features a physical frame with strength throughout the build. Ran a 7.57 60-yd dash. In the INF, he has solid fundamentals setting up in good posture. Has soft/sure hands and a clean funnel/exchange. Feet have avg. quickness that stopped at times at reception. Arm action worked shorter in the back and to release with easy effort. Throws were accurate working up to 67 mph with more in the tank. At the plate, he sits in a wider base and a barrel that stays flat to the shoulder. Uses a simple forward stride with minimal movement to the hands. Showed above avg. bat speed working the barrel on a slight uphill path with good extension. Exhibited an out front approach that produced some loud barrels to the pullside that translated in-game. Balanced swing with gap power currently but projects for some more.
