Ian Moore is a 2025 RHP/2B, SS with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Miller Place, NY who attends Miller Place. Works from a medium high-waisted frame with some room to fill. Primary right-handed pitcher, works from a controlled full wind-up delivery, stays balanced over the rubber well, arm action is compact and works into a three-quarters release point, generates some arm speed. Fastball filled up all four quadrants and produced swings and misses, topped out at 79 mph. Pronates the changeup well, had a late drop that disrupted hitters. Mixed in a more traditional curveball that complimented the mix nicely. Secondary second baseman, worked through the baseball at a deliberate pace, deeper funnel with quiet throwing mechanics, releases from a three-quarters slot, recorded arm strength up to 78 mph across the diamond. Left-handed hitter, starts in an open base with tight hands and a low back elbow, utilizes a toe-tap trigger, produced consistent contact to the pull-side with an occasional line drive to the middle of the field, gets rotational at times, recorded an exit velocity of 72 mph. Ran an 8.14 sixty-yard dash. Good student.
