George Gouriotis is a 2024 RHP/2B, MIF with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from South Elgin, IL who attends St. Charles North. Recorded a 7.98 sixty yard dash at the event. Medium athletic build with room to fill out and present strength. Primary right-handed pitcher. Loose arm action from a medium length. Ball pops out of hand well. Shorter stride on the mound while he uses simple mechanics. Works out of the stretch only, moving well down the mound in-line. Fastball reached as high as 77 mph with ride through the zone. Secondary infielder. Has good feel on the infield with good footwork moving swiftly. Soft hands, fielding the ball out front. Solid arm strength. Shows good lateral athleticism with ability to stick on the left side long term. Right-handed hitter. Open stance to start from a medium base. Hands work linear to the plate with solid speed. Whippy barrel with feel for bat-to-ball contact. Will benefit from looking to drive balls through the air with a line drive approach. Solid fundamentals to build off of. Great student.
