Tommy Hayes is a 2026 RHP/3B, SS, MIF with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Ormond Beach, FL who attends Seabreeze. Bigger frame with some strength in the body and lots of room to keep adding strength moving forward. Ran an 8.31 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher who worked from an over-the-top arm slot and moved well down the mound, helping him be efficient in his actions. His fastball was up to 77 mph and had some arm-side life to it, with occasional arm-side sink. It was a pitch he commanded well, pairing well with his curveball. The pitch had 12-6 shape to it, with some heavy break to it. It was thrown in the low-60s and was a pitch he turned to often. Also threw a harder breaking ball in the mid-60s with more slurvy action, showing some tilt and sweep to the pitch. Flashed a couple of rare changeups to lefties, showing some fade, but mostly used the fastball/breaking ball combination, and had success with it. Worked out as an infielder, showing off his arm strength during the round. Was able to make the plays and get the ball across the diamond. Right-handed hitter who worked mostly pull-side during his round, aiming to use his strength to create some barrels.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
