Ian Garcia is a 2025 SS/OF with a 5-8 140 lb. frame from San Pablo, CA who attends De Anza. Compact frame with good length that bodes well to physically project. Ran a 7.35 in the 60-yard dash. Infielder, sound transfers and actions up the middle with feel for the age. Good intent to the arm path in his round. Outfielder, showed deliberate actions with arm strength to the bag. Solid footwork and fundamentals. Later hopped on the bump and sported a low-70s fastball and developing breaking ball from an over-the-top slot. Repeats his mechanics well and athleticism translates. Right-handed hitter, balanced set and high hands. Solid barrel control and hands that get on plane well with developing strength as frame matures. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
