Dominic Baca is a 2022 SS/2B with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Albuquerque, NM who attends Albuquerque Academy. Recorded a 7.42 second 60-yard dash time. Medium frame with a lean build and room for additional strength. Primary shortstop who is light on his feet and makes confident strides toward the ball. Fluid actions with an easy release across. Quick first step and stays low through the gather and had throws recorded up to 76 mph across the diamond. Left-handed hitter with fast hands and a slightly open stance. Shows some leverage out in front and has a slight hitch in the back of the load. Looks to drive the ball to all fields and has some bat speed and wrist strength. Tools present and will improve with more consistency. Great student.
