Caden Long is a 2024 3B/RHP/IF with a 6-0 155 lb. frame from Cumberland, MD who attends Allegany. Recorded a 7.42 second sixty-yard dash time. Projectable long, lean frame with plenty of room to fill out. Primary third baseman with a developing defensive skill set. Uses deliberate footwork throughout the fielding process, a slight waist bend to field deeply and works uphill into release. Does show some range up the middle and recorded accurate throws across the diamond up to 79 mph. Secondary right-handed pitcher that worked from a simple, repeatable operation with good rhythm to it. Incorporates good lower half movements down the slope and gets extension out in front. Fastball worked in the mid-70s for majority of his outing and topped out at 77 mph from an over-the-top arm slot. Fastball shows occasional cut and he has the ability to work the outer half effectively with the pitch. Mixed in slow, looping curveball that flashes gradual depth. Will continue to improve with additional velocity and refinements mechanically. Right-handed hitter that hits from an upright, even base with a high hand set, high back elbow and forward stride into contact for timing. Contact oriented stroke with downhill swing path and some adjustability for the barrel. Displayed consistent bat-to-ball skills and mostly middle and pullside contact. Will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
