James Saxton Bagan is a 2027 OF/LHP, 1B with a 5-5 108 lb. frame from Austin, TX who attends Hyde Park Baptist School - Cen. Young, square shouldered frame with a lean build and room to grow and develop moving forward. Ran an 8.58 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, plays under control and shows easy movements on the approach, fields it cleanly and works into a sound funnel, keeps some direction towards the plate, sound fundamentals and arm strength/carry will continue to develop. Also pitched, short and simple delivery with a compact arm action through the back working to a three-quarters release point, creates some angle at release from working across body. Fastball topped out at 62 mph, worked exclusively off of the pitch and filled the zone while showing comfort working to the glove side. Left-handed hitter, utilizes a short and simple hover leg lift trigger for timing in the box. Contact oriented approach, relaxed stroke with a linear path through the zone, turns hands and keeps them tight, shows some present bat-to-ball skill with barrel feel.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
