Riley Bassett is a 2025 RHP/1B, 3B, SS with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Santa Maria, CA who attends Ernest Righetti. Athletic build. Ran the 60-yard dash in 7.50 seconds. Primary right-handed pitcher, throws from a three-quarter arm slot with a slow deceptive delivery. The fastball topped out at 74 mph, it is deceptive and gets in on the batters quick. Mixed in a 12-6 tight breaking curveball that sta 64 mph. Showed off some athleticism on the mound and fielded his position well. Also worked out in the infield, worked through the ball with gentle actions, showed the ability to make the routine plays but is still developing infield actions. At the plate, hits from an open stance with a toe tap trigger, displayed a line drive approach up the middle of the field. Flashed some bat speed, will continue to develop the strength as he gets older. Great student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
