Ryan Murphy is a 2025 OF/RHP, SS with a 6-0 168 lb. frame from Brentwood, TN who attends Brentwood. Ryan ran a 7.58 sixty yard dash. He shows a taller more developed build with some strength already present in the frame. Primary Outfield Murphy shows good glove work as he fields the ball out in front with two hands. He showed a smooth glove to hand transfer with an easy transition into throwing position. He creates plenty of momentum on his throws with some accuracy to the bases. In the infield Ryan showed some feel from the glove catching it cleanly with a deep funnel and fairly quick transfer. On the mound Ryan has a belt high leg lift while gaining plenty of momentum down the slope. He has a short compact lower 3/4s arm stroke that he will occasionally cut short at release. The stride stays short as he works over the front side well. Murphy threw a high 70s fastball with some arm side run through the zone. He was able to mix in a sharp sweeping slider with plenty of horizontal break. Ryan was able to pitch backwards and showed a good sense on how to pitch. Right handed hitter has an open wide base with a heal lift trigger. The weight is evenly distributed in the base with a slight shift to the back side at load. The bat path has a downward angle to it with some good extension late. He makes solid contact driving the ball to the gaps. Ryan is an excellent student.
