Brett Steigerwald is a 2026 C/RHP with a 5-10 161 lb. frame from Dawsonville, GA who attends Dawson County. Lean build with room for more in both halves. Ran a 7.35 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, staggered feet with a deep stance, segmented catch first then stand approach, quick transfer to throw and gains ground well, has a good idea back there with accurate throws and will benefit with added arm strength. Secondary right-handed pitcher, staggered feet from the first base side, keeps the hands near the belt during the process of the delivery, side step to belt high lift with a slight coil at the top, medium arm swing to three-quarters slot. Ran the fastball up to 76-mph and dropped in low 60's curveball. Left-handed hitter, wide and squared off base, higher hands and low back elbow set, shifts into backside early, simple approach in the box and turned over the barrel on some line drives in the round. Hit well in game, worked the pull side nicely and showed an ability to take what is given on the edges. Has components to like and project as the entire package will greatly benefit from added strength. Great student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
