Shane Klinefelter is a 2024 3B/RHP, 2B, OF with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Mars, PA who attends Mars Area HS. Shane is a solidly built, broad chested, up and coming prospect who possesses a solid fundamentally based game. In addition to his obvious ability on the diamond, Shane is also a high achiever in the classroom. He ran a 7.69 60 yard dash. A primary third baseman, Shane uses his first step quickness to position routinely, especially moving to his glove side. His hands are sure, his glove plays and he transitions quickly. His 79 mph throws are firm and accurate. Plus round. At the plate, Shane's size and strength project well. He shows consistent raw bat speed and incorporates a flatter plane with lift at contact. As he physically matures and experiences higher level competition, his offensive game should make marked jumps. Shane is a noticeably fierce competitor. It is obvious he loves being at the ball park. His game is solid now and with exposure to HS ball, he will only get better. Solid upside!
