James Wyatt Arthur is a 2027 SS/RHP, C, 2B, 3B, OF with a 5-8 123 lb. frame from Florence, SC who attends Trinity Collegiate. James is an emerging athlete who shows solid fundamental multi-position ability. He ran an 8.14 60-yard dash. A primary MIF, James has a frame that projects well to the infield. He positions with consistency and his glove is sure. He transitions well and his 61-mph throws are firm and accurate. He also showed a promising three-pitch mix off the mound. His athleticism translates well to the bump and his arm action and mechanical operation are effectively repeatable. He works off his 63-66 mph fastball that shows promising sink and some arm side run that will unquestionably become even better as his career continues. He complimented his FB with a well-shaped, 12-to-6 breaking 52-mph curveball that appears to have age-appropriate spin and depth. His 58-mph change-up is an advanced pitch for his particular level and is firm and thrown with sound fastball arm action, adding to its deception. James shows sound understanding of his upside abilities on defense and the mound. At the plate, James has a plus ability to get his barrel to and through contact. His contact first approach works well for his body type, and he does show a swing path that could project to potential power as he physically matures. James has a current skill set that should allow him to continue to grow his game as his career moves forward and he gains more experience. His positive body language and obvious passion for the sport should serve him well as he continues developing his game. Bright future!

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
