Tyler Barone is a 2028 RHP/3B with a 5-4 135 lb. frame from Selden, NY who attends Newfield. Medium, compact frame with plenty of time and room to fill out. Primary right-handed pitcher that worked from a full windup delivery with slightly coiled leg lift into balance, drop-and-drive lower half movements down the slope and slight cross-body landing. Fastball worked in the mid-to-upper 60s for the duration of his outing and topped out at 69 mph from a three-quarters arm slot. Pitches to contact, works the bottom half of the zone effectively with his fastball and disrupted timing with slower two-plane curveball with developing spin profile. Will continue to improve with additional velocity and refinement to his mechanics. Secondary infielder with a developing defensive skill set. Displayed some lateral range to either side, a slightly deeper funnel and accurate throws up to 67 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter with a contact oriented stroke with developing bat speed and bat-to-ball skills. Whole field approach due to slightly elongated swing path and developing feel for the barrel.
