James Rockwell is a 2023 OF/RHP with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Pacific Palisades, CA who attends Palisades Charter. He showed good speed with a 6.91 second sixty. A primary outfielder with length to fill out in the build. In the outfield he works aggressive to the baseball shuffling into his throws with a long arm action getting on top of the baseball with average arm strength. On the mound he worked from the stretch only with long arm action getting to a high three-quarters arm slot with a fastball that sat 79-81 mph and could pump up with the ability to get more out froth lower half, the curveball has slurvy traits at 69 mph and has better bite when he stays on top of it and pulls down out front, his changeup sat in the low 70's for strikes and has potential with more conviction to the arm speed. Right-handed hitter, starts narrow with low hands, the barrel works level through the baseball doing a nice job staying connected to the middle of the field with some barrel accuracy. Goos student.
