Mason Thomason is a 2026 RHP/MIF with a 5-10 130 lb. frame from Oxford, GA who attends George Walton Academy. Medium, athletic frame that projects well moving forward with room to fill, lean build. Ran a 7.40 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, worked exclusively out of the stretch, comes set with hands at belt, full arm action through the backside with a medium leg lift to balance point, works to a higher slot at release. Simple delivery and does a nice job of repeating as a result; fastball topped out at 77 mph with runnig life to the arm side, velocity project and clean arm action; mixed both a curveball and slider in the mid-60s. Showed arm strength from the outfield, deliberate build up into release, low and online throws to the intended base, looseness to arm. Young actions in the infield, plays taller at the ball, some carry on throws across the diamond, will continue to refine overall. Right-handed hitter, begins with an even stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate, utilizes a knee lift trigger for timing in the box. Contact oriented approach, gets inconsistent with path but best when on a linear plane and working to the middle of the field, looks to lift at point of contact. Good student.
