2021 Sunshine Midwest Showcase
Chase Phillips is a 2023 SS/2B with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Aurora, NE who attends Aurora. Lean, projectable frame. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.86 seconds. Primary SS who showed sound hands and footwork when fielding ground balls. Fluid and smooth actions. His throws across the infield topped out at 75 mph and his arm plays up from the pure strength it has due to his quick release. At the plate, he hits out of a narrow, slightly open stance with a high hands setup and a simple leg lift trigger. Showed a flat bat path through the zone which couples well with his all-fields approach. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
