2003 Southeast Top Prospect Showcase
Feldman gets your attention right away because of his listed 6-6, 220 lb. frame that looks even larger on the mound. He throws from a slinging high ¾’s arm action and would benefit from breaking his hands earlier in his delivery to gain better balance and rhythm to his delivery. Feldman’s fastball started off at 82 mph but he kept bumping it notch by notch as he got looser and smoother and was sitting steady at 86 mph after he’d been on the mound for a while. His upside rests on gaining more velocity in the future and that’s a definite possibility. Feldman’s curveball is a non-factor right now and he’ll need to work on some sort of off-speed or breaking pitch to keep hitters honest. His size and raw arm strength make him a very interesting prospect. And he's only a junior in high school. Next year could be very telling.
