Lawson Irwin is a 2023 RHP/3B, OF with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Carrollton, OH who attends Carrollton. Medium frame with slender, athletic build; ran 60 in 7.10 seconds. Primary pitcher who graded best on the mound by far, works from the stretch, deep loading arm stroke on the backside to overtop arm slot, fastball worked 76-80 mph with good life, changeup comes out of fastball tunnel, good FB/CH combo with deception and feel for strikes. Hits from spread stance, feet all over the place during load and swing, lengthy swing path with stiffness, pull-side approach. Worked out in the infield, reaching actions in any direction, stiffness to lower half, up to 74 mph on throws across. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
