Jacob Claver is a 2026 OF/LHP, 1B with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Scottsdale, AZ who attends Desert Mountain. Features a lean build with some athleticism present. Ran a 7.50 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder. Showcased a patient approach with clean footwork into the catchpoint. Uses athleticism to move with fluidity. Throws with good intent, reaching 77 mph during workouts. Worked out at first base. Can make the routine play, showing quality glove actions. Displayed a quick transfer into double feeds. Still developing consistent accuracy. Left-handed hitter. Utilizes an even base stance with a high hand setup. Shifts weight using a moderate leg kick timing mechanism. Still developing consistent timing with the maneuver. Swings on a linear path with an approach geared toward the pullside. Looks to get it out front and drive balls that way. More power will come as the barrel feel continues to increase. Left-handed pitcher. Uses tall and fall mechanics into a high 3/4 slot release. Fastball got up to 76 mph with some sinking action. Offering can generate weak ground balls when located well. Pairs it with a curveball at 63-65 mph showing slurve action. Can create good depth on the offering when thrown well. Very good student.
