Wilbert Ortiz is a 2024 SS/RHP with a 5-7 150 lb. frame from Dorado, PR who attends Dorado Academy. Medium young build with plenty of room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, hits from a narrow base with a short stride into contact, simple swing that is repeatable, mid field to opposite field line drive approach, has a good feel for the barrel, bat speed will continue to improve with additional strength and physical maturity. 7.76 runner in the sixty. Arm action and arm strength best present tool on defense, has a quick arm and release from a high slot, makes accurate throws. Very good student.
