Rafael Valdovinos is a 2026 1B/RHP/C with a 5-9 179 lb. frame from Lincoln Park, MI who attends Western International. Medium compact build with good present strength. Left handed hitter, hits from a wide base with a big leg raise trigger, drops his back shoulder a bit to create lift, was well timed in the games with solid pull to mid field contact, has the strength create jump and some carry, pretty polished hitter. 7.67 runner in the sixty. Primary first baseman on defense but has a higher ceiling a catcher, has quick actions behind the plate, gains ground well into his throws, makes accurate throws, footwork is already pretty mature. Also pitched, has a high leg raise delivery with a leg kick out, clean arm swing to a 3/4's arm slot. Fastball worked in the upper 70's with some running life, did a good job throwing strikes with his fastball. Also threw a soft curveball. Very good student.
