Joshua Messer is a 2027 OF/LHP with a 5-7 140 lb. frame from Lake Havasu City, AZ who attends Lake Havasu. Young, athletic frame with square shoulders and some present strength proportioned throughout, additional room to grow moving forward. Ran a 7.41 60-yard dash. Athletic defender in the outfield and capable of covering ground, athleticism plays in actions consistently; has been up to 80 mph on the mound this summer and shows carry on throws. Left-handed hitter, begins with a slightly open stance with a medium hand set; utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing in the box. Swings with intent, looseness throughout and quickness to hands, does a nice job of getting extended out front with present barrel whip. Squared up contact, comfort working to pull side but can go the other way, creates some torque, projects well with added physicality. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
