2023 Pittsburgh Indoor Showcase (Saturday)
Kolton Smittle is a 2025 3B/RHP/C with a 5-9 190 lb. frame from Lawrence, PA who attends Canon-Mcmillan. Smittle works from a medium athletic build with further room to fill out and add strength in the future. Starting from his primary 3B spot, he showcased solid lateral range with a full arm action across the diamond up to 80 mph. He worked directly through the baseball with soft hands out in front that made the glove a reliable tool. From behind the dish, Smittle flashed clean exchanges with some bounce out of the set and throws around the bag, ultimately posting a 1.98 pop time. Offensively, the righty started from an even balanced stance with a simple leg lift trigger remaining compact through the zone to produce impact back up the middle. He displayed strength in the hands, posting an exit velo of 81 mph. Ran a 7.31 sixty yard dash. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
