Alexander Gomez is a 2028 C/RHP/1B with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Lehigh Acres, FL who attends Lehigh. Medium build with some present strength. Right handed hitter, hits from a narrow start with a positive shift into contact, keeps his hands back well until firing them, inside hand path, has some young bat speed and the ability to turn on the ball with some jump to the pull side. 8.60 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, has a long transfer and long arm takeaway that can be shortened, over the top arm slot, makes accurate one hop throws. Also pitched, same full arm stroke on the mound with a short stride out front, high 3/4's arm stroke, short stride tends to leave his arm behind and rushing to catch up. Fastball topped out at 71 mph, also threw a soft curveball. Bat is his best present tool.
