Jose Angel Cotto is a 2024 C/1B, 3B, UT with a 5-10 186 lb. frame from Caguas, PR who attends City Of Hialeah Education Academy. Recorded a 7.50 60-yard dash. Primary catcher with a physcial build and present strength. Begins from a staggered stance behind the place, gained ground well and through accurately, consistently around the bag. Solid arm strength and quick release, recored a 2.03 pop time in drills. Secondary infielder and fielded with two hands out front, showing the ability to throw accurately from a lower slot across the diamond. Right-handed hitter and starts from a medium base with slightly open feet. Employed simple swing mechanics and turned the barrel over well. Lift to bat path through the zone, displayed some carry to pull side. Tremendous student.
