Danny Ortiz is a 2024 SS/C, IF, OF with a 5-8 154 lb. frame from Denver, CO who attends Chaparral. Medium, average build. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.74 seconds. Primary SS whose throws across the infield topped out at 74 mph. He showed smooth and fluid footwork when approaching grounders. On the offensive side of the ball he hit from a square and balanced stance with a high back elbow setup. Did a nice job of utilizing his lower half throughout the swing and featured an all-fields approach. Great student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
