Cooper Obst is a 2026 C/1B, 3B, MIF with a 6-0 152 lb. frame from Fort Lauderdale, FL who attends Pine Crest. Medium frame with a lean build. Ran a 7.69 second sixty yard dash. Primary Catcher, knee down during drills. Receives the baseball out front. Running into gather at times. Quick transfer and release. Throws around the bag with a pop time of 2.19 seconds. Switch Hitter, from the right-side, spread out working into a small shift in. Direct linear cut working through the zone with intent. Drove it all over the field on a line showcasing the strength in hands. From the left-side, similar swing from this side. Looks to get the bat head out early and pull the baseball. Right-side a bit more advanced currently but has the ability to be a legit switch hitter down the road. Great Student.
