Dale Slimick is a 5'10" left handed hitting outfielder from Sarasota, Florida, with a strong set of baseball skills. He looks like a "performance" type of player who could keep improving as he gets older. At the plate, Slimick hits from an open to closed approach with a quick, short rotational swing that produced very consistent solid contact to all fields. Slimick got one ball up in the jet stream and carried it 380’ to the left centerfield fence, but also showed the ability to pull the ball hard with wood. He looks to have very strong hands and good bat control. Defensively, Slimick threw well from the outfield, hitting 84 mph, and had a couple of chances during the games to show that he got very good jumps on fly balls. He’s a 7.33 runner, but his outfield instincts look like they make him play much faster. Slimick is a very nice player who could continue to develop at the college level. Dale is a good student..
