Travis Rod is a 2022 RHP/C, SS with a 5-9 158 lb. frame from Willis, TX who attends Marine Military Academy. Medium frame with slender, athletic build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.36 seconds. Primary righthanded pitcher, medium-height leg lift, shorter stride, high 3/4 slot, stiffer operation, fastball worked 69-76 mph with flashes of sink, showed curveball with 11/5 shape and good depth. Hits from even-based stance, gains minimal ground in stride, slight uppercut to swing path, flashes contact skills. Good student.
