Payne Hotman is a 2027 C/RHP/OF with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from Tyler, TX who attends Tyler Legacy. Recorded a 7.01 60-yard dash. Primary catcher with a medium athletic build. Kepp throws down and showed good arm strength behind the dish. Accurate arm and got rid of it quick. Also worked out in the outfield and charged the ball hard, fielding off the front foot and displaying whip to the arm, recording throws up to 87 mph from the outfield. Right-handed hitter and starts from a narrow stance. Takes violent cuts and showed legitimate bat speed. Worked to lift the ball and swing is conducive to power. Ball jumps off the bat when squared. Also pitched and begins delivery with a leg lift to core level. Very long arm action and releases from a high-3/4 slot. Topped out at 79 mph and mixed in a cutter, working a quick inning.
