Ezra Gonzalez is a 2028 1B/LHP/OF with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Rio Grande City, TX who attends Roma. Medium build with good present strength for his age. Left handed hitter, hits from a high back elbow load with a good lower half shift into contact, has a loose extended swing, squared the ball up well to right center field and showed some barrel control and young bat speed. 8.43 runner in the sixty. Has an idea fielding at first base with his glove and footwork, gets into good position to throw and has an active lower half. Also pitched, works from a full windup with a high leg raise start, 3/4's to high 3/4's arm slot, gets over his front side well. Fastball topped out at 70 mph and showed both running and cutting life. Curveball has good 1/7 shape and some bite, showed nice feel for throwing strikes with both pitches and had a short and dominant inning. Interesting young player with some skills.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
