Frankie Alderete is a 2022 OF/LHP, 1B with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Corpus Christi, TX who attends Ray. Ran a 7.62 60 yard dash. On the mound, has a controlled sidestep with a high lift hitch at the top of the delivery. Works downhill and throws from a 3/4 arm slot. He repeats the delivery well. His fastball was up to 78 MPH and shows good command of the pitch. He also throws a curveball with good depth at 68 MPH. Quick arm that plays well in the outfield with good carry. Smooth fielding actions and uses legs well into throws. Was clocked throwing at 81 MPH from both the infield and the outfield. At the plate, shows quick bat speed and enters the zone from a lower slot. Good strength in the swing and uses the whole field. His highest exit velocity was 84 MPH.
