Colt Brown is a 2025 C/RHP, 2B, SS, MIF with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from La Vernia, TX who attends La Vernia. Primary catcher with a physical frame and plenty of strength. Gains ground through the plate. Has a quick transfer and release with shorter arm action. Could make throws with good accuracy and on a line. Also worked the infield and profiles more on the corner. Has a strong and accurate arm and can react to balls well. Also ran a 7.46 sixty. Also pitched throwing from a high 3/4 slot. Compact arm action works downhill a good bit. Could locate the fastball well and went to a short tilting slider as his main secondary. Right-handed hitter starts slightly open with a narrow base. Has a good rhythmic swing while staying balanced. Strong pull side juice was on full display. Uses a small leg lift and stride for timing and weight transfer with a level and compact swing. Excellent student. Named to the Top Prospect list.
