Eli Romero is a 2028 SS/RHP/C with a 5-5 130 lb. frame from Corpus Christi, TX who attends Calallen. Compact, wiry build with plenty of time to grow into his frame. Ran a 8.63 in the sixty. Infielder, good setup and showed a quicker first step. Ranges well for age with a quicker glove, shows pocket early. Good traits and transfer that stood out in age group, some softness to the hands. Right-handed pitcher, works from a cleaner three-quarter slot and worked clean inning. Filled the zone with a high-60s fastball and shorter downer curve he has great feel for. Left-handed hitter, open stance and bigger hanging leg load. Good intent in the path that he executes well. Solid liners to the middle of the field, put together consistent contact. Solid timing and rhythm and traits to work with on both sides. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
